Materials matter.

They are fundamental elements at the beginning of every design process. They ultimately determine if a product can be safely recycled or biodegrade. Materials excite our senses and embody the promise of innovation, identification, attachment and belonging while being closely linked to our heritage and traditions. So it is worth taking a closer look at the materials we design with.

"The material choice alone can account for up to 95% of a product’s environmental and social footprint." ( Amanda Johnston, 2019)
